Our Story

From humble beginnings to a lasting ministry one church family in the U.S. and Jamaica.

Full Gospel Cathedral of Praise was founded on Mother’s Day, May 12, 1996, by the late Bishop Donald Roy Malcolm and Pastor Elveta Malcolm. The church was originally named Full Gospel Church of God #3.
We began on Dodd Street in East Orange, New Jersey. After one year of great growth, we relocated to The Church of the Cross Road in East Orange, New Jersey, where we remained for several years. Later, we purchased an old clubhouse at 826–830 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey. After renovating the building, it became our permanent location and headquarters. Pastor K.V. Malcolm now presides in that church.
Today, we are a non-denominational Christian church with congregations in the United States and Jamaica. We welcome you to worship with us as we spread God’s Word, lift up Jesus Christ, and unite communities through faith, fellowship, and outreach.

Youth Development — Inspire youth to become positive, godly leaders.
We are a nonprofit organization and may accept donations for the furtherance of the work of Christ. Our intention is to continue making a positive difference in the lives of people.
